Triangulum by Michelle Miller

4173033564_0c7981148a.jpg

Pattern on sale now for $5.00 USD

Triangle man,
Triangle man,
Triangle man hits particle man.
They have a fight – triangle wins,
Triangle man.

–They Might Be Giants

This shawl was written as a companion for a piece I wrote on triangular construction.

Triangulum is worked from side to side increasing to the center point where the decreases begin. The method of increasing and decreasing produces a versatile asymmetrical triangular shawlette. The pattern can be modified easily for larger or smaller sizes by adding or removing increases to the center point.

Fragment Drop Stitch Lace Scarf by Michelle Miller

4032180190_038979fc29.jpg

Pattern Available now for only $5.00!

I perfected this pattern as I was finishing up my masters thesis and also while riding on the Disneyland Railroad bi-weekly with my 2 year old daughter.

So you can see it’s simple enough to knit while keeping a little kid from jumping off a moving train and keeps you sane while you’re so stressed that all you want to do is eat 100 Cheese Pizzas and wash it down with gallons of iced tea. And by iced tea I mean sweet, sweet beer.

Fickleknitter claims no responsibility for the knitters consumption of 100 Pizzas but guarantees extreme self satisfaction when dropping the stitches in the Fragment Scarf.

This pattern knits up fast and is perfect for small amounts of lace yarn (approx. 150-200 yards). The elements of the pattern include dropping stitches and a 3 needle bind off. No children were harmed during the writing of this pattern.

Needles US 5/3.75mm Knitting Needles, or size needed to get gauge.

Yarn One 50 gram ball of Brown Sheep Nature Spun Fingering, 310 yards/283 meters.

Gauge 22 stitches and 30 rows over 4inches in Stockinette

Pattern Measurements36 in by 5 inches

Knitting Project Bag by Michelle Miller

4150065871_f788dac863.jpg

This photo was taken by the Knit Picks team for my newest published pattern, Knitting Project Bag.

The Knitting Project Bag is seamless and knit completely in the round including the handles. It’s the perfect size for carrying along your current knitting project – large enough for a couple skeins of yarn and some notions, but not so big that it’s unwieldy.
