I’ll spare you the tales of woe involving broken coffee makers and sick children. Okay maybe I just didn’t. Anyhow I’m still in Virginia sorting things out. I’m missing home and all my stuff. I am able to do most business type things out here so I’m thankful for that. I do however miss Zelda, Ocarina of Time on my Wii, my dog Baxter, and warm weather. Although I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley I have completely forgotten the weather patterns here. Right before I flew out I checked the weather forecast (it was 80 F that week) and packed clothing for summer. Not one of my wisest choices.
I am enjoying the country flora and fauna. Flora in the way of the ten thousand leaves that dropped directly on the house lawn all at the same time, and fauna like a murder of buzzards, squirrels that run under truck wheels, and the black bears running around like it’s a frat party on the mountain.
In between settling the estate and adopting Dmitri I am sending out clues to the first KAL, squealing over being mentioned in Knitter’s Review by Clara (thanks Clara for photographing my skinny side. Bears.), and getting ready for two blog tours by Woolly Wormhead and Carol Feller. So check back soon to see if the bears remediate the fallen leaves problem.
