Thesis Managed

I finished the first draft of my Thesis this weekend. Finally.

We spent the remainder of the holiday weekend relaxing.

My only wish is that it was possible to capture the aroma of the flowers all around us.

In other news I got a wild hair and signed up for the Sock Summit this morning. I explained it to the Husband the following way: it was like buying tickets to a Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd show. Only replace Zeppelin with Meg Swansen and Pink Floyd with Judith Mackenzie McCuin.

A suitable reward for thesis finishing, don't you think?

Very suitable reward. I always use music references to explain knitting to my husband too.

Woohoo! Congrats on finishing the first draft! I know that's quite a milestone and a great whack of work. Wish I could join you at Sock Summit...pero, no tengo dinero. :(

By the way - I love that in that first pic you are sitting and relaxing, and your daughter is clearly in motion!

Yay! Congrats on getting the first draft off your back! Is there any better feeling? (Aside from getting the FINAL draft off your back, of course.) Enjoy the Sock Summit. A reward in proportion to the task. :)

Congratulations on all counts! That's wonderful!

I tried to explain to my hubby what it was like talking to Barbara Walker on the phone once: it was like calling the White House and being connected straight through to the President.

Congratulations!! Finishing the first draft of your thesis is like seeing the finish line of a marathon. Keep up the good work, and yeehaw.

I think the Sock Summit is very suitable as a reward and I'm still boggling over who all they got to teach. Unbelievable.

Congrats and way to go!! I'd say you definitely deserve Sock Summit- lucky girl- I'll have to live vicariously through you then.

You are so funny! LOL about the explanation to the hubby. I just wouldn't be able to justify it to my hubby. East to West coast? He would want to come along and we just don't have the vacation time. I would LOVE to have a class with Judith Mackenzie McCuin. Have a great time!
