RealPolitik

I tend to eschew political punditry on this blog (except for my ever present disdain for Hummers), but I can't let this latest development pass without comment. The presidential race just got very interesting with the latest Vice Presidential pick. Either way this race will make history and I will be so proud to explain to my daughter why.

In less monumental news we arrived home safely from our trip to Palm Springs. I also now understand why areas had names such as "Rio del Sol" (River of the Sun) and "Agua Caliente" (Hot Water). The city planners did forget one essential area, "Condenado Caliente" (Damn Hot according to my pisspoor spanish).

If you've wondered who'd be crazy enough to buy wool in the desert, look no further.

Stephanie (Sunnyknitter on ravelry) twisted my arm and forced me to visit The Ultimate Point where I was forced to purchase deeply discounted rowan. It was a real tragedy.

I also cast on for my burnt orange sweater.

And since that wasn't enough excitement I opened up my etsy store, as an alternative place to purchase my patterns. History making, I tell you.

Might have been damned hot, but it was damned fun! So glad I had the chance to spend a few days with you and Her Lovely Highness!
