Kool-Aid $20 a Glass

I joined a local Mom's Club today, dues paid, 2 by 4 thick pamphlet of rules dispensed, soul signed over cash on delivery. Thus far every one seems very friendly, but there will always be Machiavellian social structuring among groups. I wonder what they do to members who are circulars who refuse square holes? Hopefully nothing involving baked goods.

My first official Moms Group activity was to go to the Zoo. My favorite animal this visit was the Scarlet Ibis bird.

I particularly identified with the Ibis on the right.

I'm knitting a lot which begets more casting on. drooling on Ravelry maniacal knitting plans knitting.

I'm very happy to report the Raglan fits me in the most flattering way, fueling my desires to cast on a hundred and forty other top down sweaters just like this one. I want to ask Barbara Walker where she's been all my life. I mean seriously, this is my desert island knitting book.

Now if you'll excuse me I have some well aged Kool Aid to sip.

I wouldn't worry too much about being forced to fit into square pegs; I'm sure there are plenty of nonconformist moms in the group, just like you.

In the limit you can always lace your baked goods with butternut squash. If it's good enough for Jessica Seinfeld...
