Something I can sink my teeth into

Teething: A simple drawing.

The image above is almost accurate, I much prefer Chocolate as my drug of choice over spirits. But it's about right. As a collective household we aren't getting much sleep, and I'm not getting much done. At least with the whole keeping a clean house deal.

I've made sanity time to work on Stonington Shawl (as found in EZ's Knitting Workshop). I'm finished the body of the shawl and I'm going to pick and edging soon so I can finish it up.

I've enjoyed knitting the shawl, Elizabeth Zimmermann again uses Garter stitch in the most delightful way.

Happy Wednesday!

Wow, 4 months old already- She's so adorable.

The shawl's looking good, I'm loving the blues and browns/tans-nice yarn choice!

Ugh, I"m right there with you! My baby's first 2 teeth are just about up and no one is sleeping. Have you tried the tiny tablets you dissolve under the kiddo's tongue? They work for Beatrix and I even tried them myself just to see - your mouth feels all tingly and numb from them. It might get you some sleep...

She's growing so fast! The leg chubs are disappearing already.

I'd come over and entertain her for a while, but I'm swamped right now. Have some more chocolate.

I tried the Hylands tablets at naptime today, they seemed to help. I'll try them again tonight and hopefully get some sleep!

I am convinced that babies are proof that God has a sick sense of humor. Not only do (relatively) large bodies come out of a space no larger than a knitted gauge swatch, we are designed to feed our children from a rather sensitive portion of our anatomy. Then, the baby gets teeth BEFORE they no longer need us at the sole source of nutrition.

At least you're not nursing while pregnant. Talk about painful! by the time little man was born though, I was good and toughened up. No problems with that batch of teething.

Ha! I love Stephanie's comment. I am both fascinated and completely freaked out by the Motherhood Experience™. ;)

Maya is beautiful; I enjoyed meeting you at the ASKG.

Teeth already? How is that happening?

The non-breeder says a dab of whiskey on the gums works wonders. Just sayin'.

Well - you're killin' me - Any teeth to show?

Okay, how long without a Maya photo? April is almost over! And is your thesis done? Admit it, Maya is doing a lot of the work......
